Strawberry Festival in Cape

In Cape St. Claire, summertime officially kicks off each year with the annual Strawberry Festival. And, this year’s 60th Anniversary festival on Saturday, June 2nd is one you can’t miss. Some of the fun highlights include a parade, music, food, games, pony rides, a Silent Auction, face painting, and more. Not to mention, the atmosphere is incredible, as the festival is perched up against the Chesapeake Bay. In addition to a fun time, proceeds benefit local charities and community groups. Don’t forget to stop by the clubhouse and dine on all things strawberries. Admission is free for everyone!

Baltimore & Annapolis Trail

The B&A Trail, as it is more commonly referred as, is a trail for the whole family! The trail is a 13-mile paved bike trail that begins at Jonas Green Park in Annapolis and ends at Dorsey Road in downtown Glen Burnie. (And they are working to improve it.) The path guides you through parks, suburban neighborhoods, and natural wooded areas. Also, you will come across historical markers, shopping centers, and picnic areas. As you’re passing through, onlookers will get a glimpse of the memorable Planet Walk. This is a museum sponsored by NASA, featuring educational displays that teach you about the planets in the Solar System. Also, there is an annual Half Marathon that starts at Severna Park H.S. that runs through the path.

Kinder Farm Park

Kinder Farm Park is a 288-acre park in Millersville that offers a variety of natural and recreational activities. Some of those including hiking, biking, bird watching, fishing and picnicking. Families love to gather here for all sorts of activities, all year. Specifically, guests can partake in the agricultural history program that depicts past and present agricultural practices of the county. Kids will love getting up close and personal with farm animals including chickens, cows, pigs, goats, and sheep.

2018 Secret Garden Tour

The Hammond-Harwood House 2018 Secret Garden Tour is an Annapolis tradition, and it’s back again this year. The tour takes guests through Annapolis’ most historic areas: Charles, Cathedral, Conduit and Franklin Streets and Acton Landing. In fact, guests have the opportunity to go beyond the gates of beautiful gardens that are difficult to see from the sidewalk. Thus, allowing for a truly one of a kind experience. So, get outside and get a glimpse into the lifestyle and tastes of a few Annapolis homeowners. The event takes place on June 2nd and 3rd from noon to 5 pm.

Summer Drama Camp

The students of Severna Park High School are hosting a summer musical theatre camp for teens between the ages of 12 and 18. From July 16- July 19, kids can learn how to sing and dance, and rock like a falcon at SPHS. The camp ends with a performance of Rock n’ Roll Revival Jr. for family and friends on July 19th at 7 pm at SPHS.

There will also be a summer drama camp for kids ages 6- 12, from July 9- July 12. They will perform their show on July 12th at 7 pm. Rock on, Falcons!
